A not-for-profit, established in 2016
Helping businesses get the best from their websites
Independent, plain-English help for the people responsible for a website - whether you built it yourself, hired someone to build it, or inherited it from whoever had the job before you.
Why the Guild exists
The Web Guild is a not-for-profit, founded in 2016 to help business founders and marketers get the best from their websites.
The barrier to entry for selling websites is, well, basically non-existent. Lisa Freeman, who set up the Guild, has been making websites for clients since 2004, and in that time she's seen far too many businesses have a bad experience with a rogue trader.
And in the age of AI that barrier is getting even lower. More people than ever can "make" a website, but making one isn't the same as understanding what you're selling. So after a hiatus, The Web Guild is back to help guide and reassure.

The Talking Web podcast
For the people who are commercially responsible for a website they don't fully control.
If you've ever nodded along in a developer meeting understanding about 40% of what was said, or approved a technical decision you privately weren't sure about, this is for you.
"I've been building websites professionally for over 20 years. I've spent most of that time translating between the technical and the commercial." - Lisa Freeman, host.
No jargon. No hype. Just plain English about how your website actually works, and what it means for your business.
